Job Description
Senior business development manager advancing cryptographic and cross-domain aerospace defense solutions. Leading government capture, strategic partnerships, proposals, and growth for Collins Aerospace’s Mission Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and capture new business opportunities within the Modular Open Systems Solutions Encryption portfolio
- Brief senior leaders in the U.S. Department of War and other government entities on strategic goals and opportunities
- Oversee white paper and proposal development
- Lead capture teams and manage the pursuit, order, and capture process lifecycle
- Negotiate and close new business opportunities aligned with customer and market requirements
- Provide input into product development and strategic planning
- Build and maintain relationships with U.S. Government and non-Government customers
- Evaluate competitor solutions and company positioning against market trends and customer requirements
- Collaborate with program management, engineering, and other cross-functional teams
- Travel up to 50% may be required for business development and customer engagement
Requirements:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret Security Clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required
- Experience with U.S. military concepts of operations (CONOPs) related to secure communications, modular open systems architecture (MOSA), and cryptography
- Experience with the lifecycle of the pursuit, order, and capture process
- Experience directly supporting U.S. Government acquisitions
- Previous work experience with a cryptographic product/systems prime contractor preferred
- Experience working with the NSA and other Intelligence Community and Military Services stakeholders preferred
- Proven track record of closing deals, building partnerships, or driving revenue in high-growth environments preferred
- Deep understanding of cryptographic principles and cryptographic protocols preferred
- Leadership experience and decision-making capabilities in complex business environments preferred
