Job Description
Senior Manager engaging with EU scientific relations and policy engagements at Edwards Lifesciences. Responsible for partnerships with medical societies and key opinion leaders in healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Manage long-term, trust-based partnerships with medical societies, key opinion leaders and experts, as well as multidisciplinary stakeholders - ensuring alignment with scientific, clinical, and public health priorities.
- Contribute to roll-out of Edwards partnerships with medical societies in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Lead strategic engagement planning, including mapping, prioritization, and coordinated engagement in collaboration with Medical Affairs, Business Units and Public Affairs teams.
- Monitor and engage specifically on European policy and legislative opportunities and developments, and craft Edwards policy positions on key priorities in alignment with business strategy.
- Manage EU stakeholder relations – trade associations, coalitions - in alignment with business strategy and public health priorities.
- Support translation of complex scientific, clinical, and public health/policy concepts into clear strategic insights for internal teams.
- Identify opportunities where Edwards’ science and innovation can support broader healthcare system goals, including access, quality of care, and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in public health or social sciences, life sciences, biomedical sciences, health sciences, epidemiology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Master’s degree strongly preferred; MD is not required.
- Significant experience (typically 7–10+ years) in scientific engagement, public health/policy, or medical affairs, ideally within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, academia, or healthcare systems.
- Demonstrated experience working within multistakeholder environments, either in medical society contexts or in policy (with preference at EU Level)
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems.
