Job Description

SVP responsible for account management strategy and leadership in Spend Business Unit. Driving growth, client retention, and value in the healthcare supply chain sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the Spend Business Unit account management strategy across all regions.
  • Establish a scalable operating model that enables consistent delivery of spend management value across diverse client segments.
  • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to expand the Spend Business Unit growth, market position, and client value offerings.
  • Lead, coach, and develop VP, Regional Leaders, holding accountability for performance across regions.
  • Own Spend Business Unit retention, margin performance, and client growth across the account management portfolio.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for the Spend Business Unit’s most strategic client relationships.
  • Partner with product, analytics, sourcing, and performance improvement teams to ensure alignment of capabilities with client needs and market demands.
  • Champion the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, to enhance client value.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare supply chain, spend management, or related fields.
  • Considerable experience leading leaders (VP-level and above) in a complex, matrixed, geographically dispersed organization.
  • Proven record of leading a large-scale portfolio, delivering sustained revenue growth, margin improvement, and client retention.
  • Expertise in healthcare supply chain operations and the translation of sourcing and spend strategies into clinical and financial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success engaging with C-suite executives and influencing large, complex health systems.
  • Demonstrates understanding of AI concepts, tools, risks, and opportunities and applies that knowledge appropriately in work activities.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business judgment, and ability to operate at both strategic and executive levels.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.
