Job Description
Team Lead driving Northern African dealer growth for Europe’s B2B used-car auction platform. Managing key accounts while coaching sales managers and executing regional strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of sales growth across the Northern Africa region.
- Develop and execute a clear commercial strategy for the market, with a strong understanding of local dynamics, customers, competition, and opportunities.
- Identify the biggest growth opportunities across markets and key accounts, and turn them into concrete action plans.
- Own regional sales targets and ensure the team is focused on the activities that drive results.
- Continuously analyse performance, identify gaps, and adjust the strategy when needed.
- Maintain and grow your own portfolio of key accounts alongside leadership responsibilities.
- Act as the team's role model in sales skills, commercial thinking, customer management, strategy, and professional behaviour.
- Demonstrate best practices in prospecting, negotiation, objection handling, closing, and account development.
- Manage and coach Key Account Managers in their daily operations.
- Support, challenge, and help solve team problems.
- Coach team members on sales strategy, account planning, negotiations, pipeline management, and customer conversations.
- Review individual and team performance regularly and turn data into clear actions.
- Help team members prioritise portfolios and focus their time where it creates the most value.
- Give direct, constructive feedback and support sales-skill development.
- Keep the team motivated, engaged, and focused on continuous sales growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with high-value dealers across your portfolio.
- Acquire and onboard new high-value dealers and develop existing accounts.
- Drive bids, lead negotiations, handle objections, and close deals.
- Develop strategic account plans to increase dealer activity, spend, and long-term value.
- Qualify and prioritise high-value dealers and proactively identify market opportunities.
- Build long-term advisory relationships with dealers.
- Work the market through CRM, phone, WhatsApp, and email with clear ownership and consistent follow-up.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Key Account Management, B2B Sales, Business Development, or Sales Leadership — automotive experience is a strong plus.
- Experience managing or coaching salespeople, with a genuine interest in developing others.
- Strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to grow sales and key accounts.
- Excellent knowledge of the Northern African market, including its dealer landscape, commercial dynamics, and customer behaviour.
- Strategic thinker who can turn market knowledge into clear account and sales plans.
- Strong sales skills — comfortable with prospecting, negotiation, objection handling, closing, and relationship building.
- A true player-coach: you enjoy leading a team but also want to be directly involved in sales yourself.
- Highly reliable, proactive, and autonomous.
- Comfortable living on the phone: outbound, inbound, negotiation, and frequent customer contact.
- A natural role model who leads through actions, not just instructions.
- Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and challenge people.
- Fluent in English, French, Arabic and/or relevant regional languages are a strong advantage.
Benefits:
- Fully remote, B2B contractor role.
- Competitive fixed retainer + performance-based variable.
- The opportunity to directly own and influence the growth of an important regional market.
- A personal portfolio of key accounts to grow, alongside qualified leads and a dedicated team.
- A high-autonomy environment where leadership is closely connected to real commercial results.
- An international commercial organisation built so sellers and team leaders can focus on growth.
- Direct impact on the company's expansion across Northern Africa.
- Annual team-building event.
