Job Description

Online Event Planning Adjunct Professor teaching approved curriculum for Liberty University. Supporting student learning, feedback, advising, retention, grades, and attendance.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach material from the approved curriculum in accordance with an assigned schedule
  • Assist students in achieving course objectives and learning outcomes
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to students
  • Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and assisting absent students
  • Advise students regarding academics, attendance, and behaviors
  • Motivate students to participate actively in the educational process
  • Maintain and report student grades and attendance according to university policies
  • Maintain university standards regarding course activity, emails, grading, and communication with the Instructional Mentor and students
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A Terminal or Master's degree in Fashion, Apparel, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Merchandising, Business, International Business, Business Administration, Marketing and Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising & Management, Fashion Management, Fashion Marketing & Communication, Fashion & Apparel Merchandising, Brand Management, Management & Leadership, Fashion Buying and Fashion Promotion, Advertising, or Retailing
  • Applicants must demonstrate a personal faith commitment to the university’s evangelical Christian purpose
  • Full adherence to the evangelical mission and doctrine of Liberty University
  • Familiarity with and use of collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to complete assignments timely and accurately with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff
  • Demonstrated strength or potential in teaching at the college level
