Job Description

Global event marketing director owning trade shows, sponsorships, and owned conferences for EventMobi’s event-management platform. Managing budgets, pipeline attribution, event technology, and a growing events team.

Responsibilities:

  • Own EventMobi’s entire events program, including trade shows, sponsorships, and owned events
  • Own the calendar, budget, messaging, pre-show marketing, booth design, shipping, staffing, and on-site execution for trade shows
  • Work with Demand Gen and Sales to book meetings before events
  • Ensure leads enter HubSpot with attribution
  • Act as the event technology expert and create differentiated event activations
  • Manage sponsored-event give/get agreements, on-site presence, and database growth through opt-ins
  • Partner with Customer Success on sponsored conference event technology
  • Identify advocacy opportunities and pass case studies and reviews to Customer Marketing
  • Build owned events from local workshops and dinners through the first annual user conference
  • Define event objectives, formats, agendas, speakers, venues, run of show, and attendee marketing
  • Maintain the single source of truth for each event
  • Project manage events, vendors, and contracts
  • Forecast budgets and report quarterly recommendations to the VP of Marketing on what to scale, maintain, or cut
  • Manage and support the Event Coordinator
  • Collaborate with Demand Gen, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing Operations, and the VP of Marketing

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in corporate event marketing at a B2B company
  • Experience as an exhibitor in the booth, not just as an agency or organizer running the show
  • Experience managing a high volume of third-party trade shows and sponsored events portfolio
  • Experience planning and executing a mid-size user conference and exclusive dinner series
  • Strong event tech experience, including registration platforms, lead capture apps, badge printing, and event app builds using competitors’ platforms
  • Experience owning an event budget and demonstrating event returns in pipeline and revenue
  • Ability to write event messaging and copy
  • Experience with HubSpot and attribution
  • Willingness to travel about once a month across North America and Europe
  • Safe, comfortable, ergonomic, private, and quiet workspace
  • Reliable internet connection with at least 30 Mbps download speed
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident eligible to work and travel to the US, Canada, and Europe
