Job Description

Director marketing EventMobi’s global trade shows, sponsorships, and owned events. Building pipeline and customer engagement for its event management platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Own EventMobi’s entire events program, including trade shows, sponsorships, and owned events
  • Manage event strategy, budgets, messaging, booth design, results, and event portfolio growth
  • Own tradeshow calendars, pre-show marketing, booth design, shipping, staffing, and on-site execution
  • Work with Demand Gen and Sales to schedule meetings before events
  • Ensure leads are captured in HubSpot and properly attributed
  • Serve as the event technology expert and create differentiated event activations
  • Manage sponsored-event relationships, written give/get agreements, on-site presence, and opt-in database growth
  • Partner with Customer Success on sponsored conference event technology
  • Identify product adoption opportunities and pass advocacy wins to Customer Marketing
  • Build owned events from local workshops and dinners to an annual user conference
  • Define event objectives, formats, agendas, speakers, venues, run of show, and attendee marketing
  • Maintain the single source of truth for events and project-manage each event
  • Own vendors and contracts and forecast budgets
  • Report quarterly recommendations to the VP of Marketing on what to scale, maintain, or cut using spend, pipeline, and revenue
  • Manage and guide the Event Coordinator and collaborate with VP of Marketing, Demand Gen, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing Operations

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in corporate event marketing at a B2B company
  • Experience as an exhibitor in the booth, not just as an agency or organizer
  • Managed a high volume of third-party trade shows and sponsored events portfolio
  • Involved in planning and execution of a mid-size user conference and exclusive dinner series
  • Strong event tech experience, including registration platforms, lead capture apps, badge printing, and event app builds using competitors’ platforms
  • Knowledge of IMEX, MPI, PCMA, CSAE, or ASAE is a bonus
  • Owned an event budget and demonstrated event returns in pipeline and revenue
  • Ability to write event messaging and copy
  • Experience with HubSpot and attribution
  • Willingness to travel about once a month across North America and Europe
  • Safe, comfortable, ergonomic, private, and quiet workspace
  • Reliable internet connection with at least 30 Mbps download speed
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident eligible to work and travel to the US, Canada and Europe
