Job Description
HR Applications Engineering Manager scaling Workday and HR systems for Coinbase’s compliant cryptocurrency platform. Leading teams, automation, integrations, upgrades, and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Scale and grow the HR Engineering team by hiring, onboarding, and training analysts and engineers supporting Workday and HR functional areas
- Provide functional and technical leadership and mentoring to team members
- Supervise day-to-day activities of the Workday instance
- Design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation
- Analyze business requirements with internal and external stakeholders and drive system planning, development, testing, and implementation
- Identify automation opportunities across HR processes
- Drive regular reviews and support HR system upgrades and patches
- Stay current on HR technology trends
- Participate in or lead continuous-improvement projects
- Build cross-functional teams across a geographically dispersed organization, including the U.S. and India
- Manage vendor RFPs and relationships to drive HRIS and related boundary-system buying decisions
Requirements:
- 8+ years experience, including 3+ years leading an applications team supporting an HR functional area
- Working knowledge of Workday and related integrations
- Experience integrating Applicant Tracking Systems, Learning Management Systems, and Performance Systems
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical partners to drive alignment
- Willingness to learn and apply processes unique to Coinbase
- Experience applying Lean, Agile, ITIL, or process improvement to previous workflows
- Experience partnering with Security teams and delivering solutions subject to high security standards
- Authority coordinating highly technical teams and delivering value to stakeholders
- Ability to design and improve processes that solve problems in simple and scalable ways
- High proficiency in Jira, Slack, and G Suite
- Workday certification preferred
- Knowledge of and passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain preferred
