Job Description
Key Account Manager/BDM driving sales growth in assigned territory through expansion and acquisition. Collaborating with customers and partners to achieve revenue targets with 75% travel requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth in the assigned territory
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, distributors, and partners
- Develop account plans that identify opportunities for growth and outline strategies for achieving revenue targets
- Conduct regular business reviews with key customers and distributors to review performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and align future goals and objectives
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, as well as new accounts that fit the company's ideal customer profile
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with key customers, ensuring that all terms and conditions are mutually beneficial and consistent with company objectives
- Serve as an expert in specific industries (building off successes in previous roles), staying up to date with industry trends, competitors, and regulatory issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute industry-specific sales strategies, including product development, pricing, and marketing campaigns
- Provide industry-specific insights and thought leadership to the overall sales organization, helping to differentiate the company's offerings and win new business in the market
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry organizations and influencers, representing the company at industry events and conferences
- Monitor and analyze customer and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to the sales team and cross-functional partners to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and deal information in the company's CRM system
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports based on individual performance to targets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a track record of success in both business development and account management
- Experience in targeted industries is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
