Job Description

Oncology Market Access Account Executive expanding AbbVie’s pharmaceutical formulary access and account sales. Managing contracts, product positioning, pull-through strategy, and relationships with healthcare decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage targeted oncology accounts and lead alignment and best practices across geographies through account and sales strategies
  • Establish products on customer formularies or contracts in advantageous, parity, or otherwise favorable positions
  • Manage pull-through sales and customer accounts in partnership with Account Managers across the country
  • Establish and develop high-level relationships with executive management and key decision-makers
  • Manage contracting by assessing opportunities’ impact on profitability
  • Lead client account discussions and ensure contract implementation and compliance
  • Contribute to contracting templates and customer guidelines
  • Develop product strategies for promoted and/or contracted oncology products and product access plans
  • Conduct competitive analysis and develop customized pull-through and sell-through sales strategies
  • Advise Sales and Marketing executive management on contract terms and business challenges and opportunities
  • Manage customer and sales force expectations
  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders across functions and management levels
  • Support strategic alliance partners within targeted accounts
  • Coordinate corporate resources and assess funding and staffing needs for account objectives
  • Disseminate timely and accurate account-specific and global trade information throughout AbbVie
  • Provide direction to field sales, account management, and franchise groups
  • Assess and cultivate business relationships with key clients
  • Identify new customers and organizations with potential to impact AbbVie business

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree optional/helpful
  • 3 to 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience minimum
  • 8+ total combined years of experience
  • 2 to 3 years of sales management experience is a plus
  • 2 to 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience in Oncology is a plus
  • 3 to 4 years of account management experience is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
  • Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain required credentials
  • Ability to meet potential background check, drug screen, immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and state- or city-specific licensing requirements
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
