Job Description
AbbVie oncology account executive managing pharmaceutical market access, contracting, and pull-through sales. Building relationships with US healthcare decision-makers across assigned accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage work within targeted Community Oncology and Health Systems accounts
- Lead account and sales strategy alignment and best practices across multiple geographies
- Establish products on customer formularies or contracts in advantageous or parity positions
- Manage pull-through sales and all customer accounts in partnership with Account Managers
- Build high-level relationships with executive management and key decision-makers
- Assess contracting opportunities, profitability, and impact
- Lead client-account discussions and ensure contract implementation and compliance
- Develop contracting templates and customer guidelines
- Monitor competitive strategies and conduct competitive analysis
- Develop product strategies for promoted and contracted oncology products
- Lead customized pull-through and sell-through sales strategies
- Advise Sales and Marketing executive management on contract terms
- Manage customer and sales-force expectations
- Cultivate internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Support strategic alliance partners and company-wide opportunities
- Coordinate corporate resources and account objectives
- Disseminate account-specific and global trade information across AbbVie
- Provide direction to field sales, account management, and franchise groups
- Develop business relationships, identify new customers, and enhance product positioning and sales efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 8+ total combined years of experience
- 3 to 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience minimum
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
- Must meet safe driving requirements
- Must satisfy applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements
- Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required HCIR credentials
- Ability to meet credentialing requirements such as background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state- or city-specific licenses
- Advanced degree optional/helpful
- 2 to 3 years of sales management experience a plus
- 2 to 3 years of oncology sales and/or marketing experience a plus
- 3 to 4 years of account management experience a plus
