Job Description
Territory Manager expanding Halter’s virtual-fencing technology among Western Australian beef farmers. Managing sales, customer onboarding, territory relationships, and ongoing customer success.
Responsibilities:
- Drive business growth and ensure customer success within the designated territory
- Execute sales strategies, build customer relationships, and meet ambitious growth targets
- Act as Halter’s on-the-ground representative in the Wheatbelt territory
- Prioritise daily efforts to optimise growth performance and drive customer value
- Work with Product, Support, R&D, and regional sales teams to share field insights
- Source new leads through outreach, referrals, industry events, inbound queries, and other channels
- Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation through close
- Screen, qualify, demonstrate the product, negotiate contracts, and meet sales targets
- Maintain customer relationships after the sale and address customer challenges
- Ensure smooth handoff from sales to customer onboarding and product deployment
- Manage territory relationships with regional agricultural groups across the beef industry
- Own or assist with the end-to-end customer onboarding and deployment experience
- Gather customer feedback and communicate field insights to Support, Product, and R&D teams
- Partner with Support to resolve customer issues and escalate problems as needed
Requirements:
- Value-based sales experience with a strong history of creating opportunities, closing deals, and building lasting customer relationships
- Experience building post-sales value and upselling to grow partnerships
- Beef industry experience, or deep passion for beef operations and willingness to learn farm operations rapidly
- Ability to manage a large territory with balanced sales and customer-success priorities
- Critical-thinking and trade-off decision-making skills for territory management
- Resourcefulness and quick-thinking problem-solving ability
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions
- Willingness to travel frequently within the territory to engage customers and prospects
- Residence anywhere in the Wheatbelt area of Western Australia, ideally Northam or surrounding areas
