Job Description
Clinical Account Executive selling AbbVie’s innovative oncology medicines across Cleveland-area healthcare accounts. Building territory strategies, presenting product information, and exceeding sales goals through consultative selling.
Responsibilities:
- Build and implement territory business plans aligned with brand objectives and business goals
- Develop comprehensive strategic business plans with measurable objectives and action-oriented strategies
- Allocate resources responsibly and maintain good operating principles and high ethical standards
- Meet or exceed assigned sales goals
- Present approved disease state and product information to customers using persuasive selling skills within AbbVie Promotional Policy
- Use sales analytics and customer intelligence to create strategic plans
- Execute sales and marketing strategies within the territory with cross-functional partners and approved resources
- Build knowledge of the evolving marketplace, territory changes, disease states, and products
- Collaborate with territory partners and external counterparts
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve metrics and optimize coverage and frequency of key customers
- Comply with laws, regulations, and policies governing AbbVie activities
- Build professional relationships with oncologists, nursing staff, office staff, and others in the oncology patient care continuum
- Report to the District Manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 6+ years of oncology sales experience, including solid tumors, preferred
- Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations
- Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Consultative selling style that helps customers find solutions
- Competitive selling skills
- Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Must pass AbbVie’s background check
- Must pass additional institutional or health-facility screening when required, which may include background checks, immunization, TB, HIV, hepatitis, and drug screening
- Regular business travel by air or car required
- Ability to drive a personal auto or company car or truck, or operate powered material-handling equipment
