Job Description

Clinical Account Executive selling AbbVie’s innovative oncology medicines across Cleveland-area healthcare accounts. Building territory strategies, presenting product information, and exceeding sales goals through consultative selling.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and implement territory business plans aligned with brand objectives and business goals
  • Develop comprehensive strategic business plans with measurable objectives and action-oriented strategies
  • Allocate resources responsibly and maintain good operating principles and high ethical standards
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals
  • Present approved disease state and product information to customers using persuasive selling skills within AbbVie Promotional Policy
  • Use sales analytics and customer intelligence to create strategic plans
  • Execute sales and marketing strategies within the territory with cross-functional partners and approved resources
  • Build knowledge of the evolving marketplace, territory changes, disease states, and products
  • Collaborate with territory partners and external counterparts
  • Develop and execute call plans to achieve metrics and optimize coverage and frequency of key customers
  • Comply with laws, regulations, and policies governing AbbVie activities
  • Build professional relationships with oncologists, nursing staff, office staff, and others in the oncology patient care continuum
  • Report to the District Manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 6+ years of oncology sales experience, including solid tumors, preferred
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations
  • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Consultative selling style that helps customers find solutions
  • Competitive selling skills
  • Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must pass AbbVie’s background check
  • Must pass additional institutional or health-facility screening when required, which may include background checks, immunization, TB, HIV, hepatitis, and drug screening
  • Regular business travel by air or car required
  • Ability to drive a personal auto or company car or truck, or operate powered material-handling equipment
